The Bernina L890 made me say WOW.

Hello Reader

All the fabric for the Flower Branch Embroidery Quilt Community Sew Along has safely arrived in Sprucedale, just in time for the long weekend. We were able to release a few more quilt kits and fat quarter bundles last night. We only have 4 bundles left and aren't able to restock this collection, so if you've been on the fence, now is the time.

I'm also excited to share something new - if you've ever been curious about serger technology, I've been spending time with the Bernina L890 Serger & Coverstitch machine, generously provided by Bernina Canada. I unboxed it this week and my first impression was genuinely: wow. The air threading alone made me never want to go back. What really surprised me was the Guided mode, the machine walks you through every step and setting, so I was able to take it out of the box and start using it immediately without looking at the manual. Tutorials and videos are coming soon.

Bernina is also running their Fan Favourites Sale through May and June. Whether you're looking to upgrade or buy your very first machine, there are specials on the most popular models - the 770QE, 570QE, B475 (my personal machine and favourite), B335, and the full bernette lineup. Reply to this email with your wish list and I'll send you a recommendation for you or the full list of specials. We can also hop on a call - I'd love to chat machines with you anytime.

Have a wonderful long weekend!
Karyn

p.s. the workroom Sprucedale is open our regular hours over this long weekend, if you're up in the area we would love to see you. Plus, mark your calendars, we will be a vendor at the upcoming Muskoka Quilts from the Heart Show in Bracebridge. If you're in the area, we hope you can drop by Friday June 5 & Saturday June 6. We're pulling together some fun bundles from our archive - hope to see you there.

PARKDALE | SPRUCEDALE | NEW ARRIVALS | WORKSHOPS

Preorder by Sunday: Supplies & Tools
We've put a lot of thought and preparation into our upcoming Flower Branch Embroidery Quilt Sew Along. When I made up my test unit, I immediately remembered how helpful it is to have a little Grid Guide with windows to focus in on the specific section you're sewing. I've always made mine from cardboard or paper, but our pals Nadia & James helped design the perfect custom Grid Guide with five windows. If you're registered for the Sew Along, I've started posting inside the online community space about tools, supplies and updates. Make sure you're logged in, so you can introduce yourself to the group and catch all the behind the scenes as we get closer to the start of this next Community Sew Along. We've just added some new helpful supply suggestions to the collection.

RESTOCKED! Kona Panels & Colour Cards
It's been a while but we restocked the Kona Colour Card Panels immediately after seeing Julie Sinden's crazy adorable Camber Tee made with a few of the panels. BERNINA CLUB! Serger Needle Threader
I'm learning all about the Bernina L890 Serger & Coverstitch machine this month and SPOILER ALERT! - It's really incredible. I'm filming some videos and tutorials for this machine, so stay tuned if you've been curious about the air threading system. Part of the tool kit for this serger and many other Bernina sergers includes a little hand held needle threader. If you've ever struggled to thread your machine needle - you will want this tool immediately. Check out my video for it here.
