Great news! Our Merchant & Mills delivery is en route to us now and fingers crossed will be arriving here end of next week. All available yardage in this shipment is now available in the online shop. The last minute linens we added to the preorder were the fabrics you loved the most and both Sea Holly and Salt Water Taffy are already sold out, the early birds get the best fabrics! The Workwear Chore Jacket Community Sew Along starts a week Monday on August 31st. If you're interested in learning to sew this pattern - this is a relaxed way to join us for six bi-weekly zoom check ins that include sewing demos and lots of time for sharing your ideas, challenges and tips with the group. Just like our regular virtual workshops - the video replays will be available for every session along with detailed notes that make these resources invaluable. You can also use the community feed to post your progress and ask questions at any time. Based on the last few community sew alongs, we're looking forward to all the fun ideas and learnings everyone will be sharing with the group. We've already had a fun discussion about a hack for adding a 'lining'. I can't wait to see what else folks are planning for their Jackets!

NEW! NARA HOMESPUNS We had to hang and photograph all of the new fabrics that landed in the shop last week to show off the scale and details of these gorgeous designs for you. The Nara Homespuns are so eye catching, especially in person when you can really see the heftier weave they are printed on. So many of you have been buying all six prints, so we're setting up some limited bundles for Fat Quarters, Half Metres and Full Metre sets today.
COMMUNITY PREORDER! Patchwork Books We've had our eye on these upcoming patchwork books and we were finally able to secure a small quantity of Free Form and Log Cabin Quilt Blocks for September. OCTOBER Handmade Getaway Weekend We have been so lucky to have so many of our Handmade Getaway participants return again (and again & again) to join us for these special weekends in Sprucedale. These weekends are structured to be a chance for you to focus purely on the projects you want to work on - whether you are starting something brand new or continuing a longer project. Work independently, but know there is community support and extra guidance available if you need it to accomplish what you'd like for this weekend of Fabric, Friends and Food. Delicious farm to table meals are thoughtfully created for you, so the only decisions you need to make are which projects to work on next. Our October weekend has a few spots left if you want to join us for one of the final getaways of 2026.

If you haven’t tried it yet, it’s also simple to upload your files for any other PDF pattern you'd like to sew as well. We’ll print, fold, and ship them right to you or choose local pick up at our Parkdale Pick up Point or here in Sprucedale.
