It's officially FALL! We finally posted our first batch of Fall Garment workshops. After polling many of our current students for ideas, we've added some really great new workshops leading all the way until December.
We've got company coming to Sprucedale over the next few weeks, so we've been sprucing up some of the shop displays, including finding and painting a shallow shelf out of the general store basement and hanging our summer ferns indoors and adding some extra hooks for pattern samples. I'll be ready to do part two of my shop tour once we finish these little project. (see part one here)
This coming Monday, we'll be open from 1pm-4pm to host visitors from the Pinetree Quilter's Guild as part of their Studio Tour through the area. We are always happy to open up for special hours - if you've got a guild, sewing circle or group of besties looking for a daytrip - just let us know in advance - we'd love to plan something with you.
We'll be hosting another custom Handmade Getaway group next weekend all the way from Halifax! With the Fall colours starting to pop up here in Sprucedale, it's the perfect time to get cozy in the studio with some projects and snacks. Hope you have a great weekend, Karyn

Joa is a simple, lined wrap top with ties at the side. Joa looks great in denim, layered cotton jacquard or quilted cottons. Wear on its own or layer it up in the colder months as a gilet.

Our community preorder for Merchant & Mills closed Sunday night. In case you missed it we added a last minute item of two of their sweet bias bindings at the request of a few customers and apparently they were a hit! These bindings could be a fun finishing detail on your Joa Gilet or Sunday Robe.
