It really feels like we are barrelling towards the end of the year now. We are simultaneously finalizing our final workshops and events for 2026, pencilling in our first 2027 events, and planning our second year for the Handmade Wardrobe Year program. Plus! I'm sewing & teaching the Edie Top, The Pietra Pants and Sunday Robe currently.
I really want to make a Florence Dress for this winter, so I've just posted a new Florence Top/Dress class for November and also a Plover Pouch class - if you're looking to set aside some time for gift making projects - this is a great pattern that you can make in three different sizes.
We are also starting our final challenge for the year. The November Finish It Challenge meets up on Monday November 9th, plus three more Mondays for just an hour. We started the year with a Finish It challenge and it was so productive and fun to work together on wrapping up so many projects. I've got a stack of WIPS (works in progress) that I'd really like to finish before the year is done and I bet you do too!

JOIN THE FINISH IT CHALLENGE Let's end the year the way we began! The November Finish It Challenge is a eight-week, online invitation to return to projects you’ve already begun, with time, support, and gentle momentum.
Part of our 2026 Year of Intentional Making, this bi-monthly challenge series is designed to help you slow down, work thoughtfully with what you already have, and reconnect with the joy of making.
Four bi-weekly 1-hour Zoom sessions focused on working on your unfinished projects together, in community. All sessions are recorded and will be available to everyone in the challenge.

Leave the printing to us so you can start sewing sooner! With the addition of our A0 wide format printer there are now two options for printing your patterns with the workroom. Explore the ever increasing options of PDF patterns we carry from a variety of indie designers including Merchant & Mills, Syd Graham Patterns, Named Clothing, Fibre Mood and Canadians Capstone Pattern Co, Thread Theory and Closet Core Patterns. Select the PDF + A0 Print option when adding a pattern to your cart and we you will automatically receive an email with the pattern and we will get to work printing it for you. The pattern will then either be ready for pick up at our Parkdale Pick Up Point or shipped to you depending on the shipping option selected.
