Summer is zipping by way too fast, especially since it's the time of year where the Sprucedale shop gets so many more visitors. It's been so nice to have a steady stream of new and returning customers wandering the shop, digging into the button boxes and planning new garment and quilt projects. You don't know how much I miss those Parkdale days when I could count on seeing so many of your friendly faces every week. It means even more to me these days to see a familiar face walk through our doors. Thank you to everyone who goes out of their way to make the workroom Sprucedale one of their Northern destinations when they are up in the area.
We're testing the waters with this week's fun Community Preorder. We've got a sampling of Sevenberry and Fableism wovens up for grabs. Community Preorders have become a really great way for us to bring in the exact fabrics and amounts that you'd like to sew with the most, with an added discount for ordering early. FLOWER BRANCH QUILT ALONG UPDATE We had our final official meeting for the Flower Branch Embroidery Quilt Sew Along this week. It's been very fun to meet up and share organization, sewing and assembly strategies with everyone. A few weeks ago I had shared how I was using my multi coloured mini wonder clips to help keep my chain piecing organized. Carolina had shared that she was using a vertical filing system to keep her cut pairs organized and several of us jumped on that while others have been using paper plates. The group sharing always adds so much to these community sew alongs.
