We've had an amazing round with the current Merchant & Mills Community Preorder and we've decided to close it 24 hours earlier on Sunday June 7th at Midnight, so we can get our order sent in right away next week.
We've got a lot of squishy Cotton Jacquard and beautiful coloured denims that will be heading our way and the sooner we place the order, the sooner it will be here.
We have been editing the preorder throughout the week. Several fabrics have reached their limit and were pulled from the preorder - (our forever favourite, Louisiana for example), and we've also added in four fun new options that you may or may not! want to take a closer look at.
If you've already ordered and want to add anything to your order before the window closes and the 10% discount disappears, just use the code IFORGOT to have all your orders ship together under the same shipping fee and to alert us to your multiple orders. If you are concerned about the logistics of adding on a second order - just know that it is not unusual for customers to IFORGOT up to eight times or more. Did you forget - matching thread, sewing machine needles, Swedish Tracing paper, a button match or maybe just an extra three metres of Blue Bobbette Cross Stitch fabric for a summer dress you suddenly have visions of. We are here for it.

We announced these fabrics earlier this week to our 'Merchant & Mills Club' and we can't wait to see what your plans are for it.
We had to pull a few items out of the preorder in order to 'catch' the inventory. Congratulations to those lucky folks who ordered Louisiana Linen and Everyday Chambray early!
We're closing the preorder 24 hours earlier than planned - Sunday at midnight. Don't wait until the last minute to make sure you get the Jacquard, Denim or Cotton Cross Stitch fabrics you love the most.
Muskoka Quilts from the Heart! The car is loaded and we are heading to Bracebridge today and tomorrow for this fun exhibition and show. We're excited to take part in this event and can't wait to meet you there. We've got lots of bundles, quilt kits, embroidery kits and sashiko supplies to fill our booth. Check the show details here.
We tried to get some scrap bundles together, but we ran out of time, so we've got a selection of fat quarters from our archive available for cash sale instead.
June is a very busy month for us - next weekend we are hosting a quilting group from Barrie for a Cyanotype Demo and workshop and the following weekend a custom Handmade Getaway group organized by members of the workroom studio community. We'll be pulling from our archive all summer for folks who visit us in person for these events and to shop the store.

Virtual Workshop : Replay Versions! I just finished my Merchant & Mills Nevis Skirt from our recent virtual workshop and I couldn't be more pleased with how it turned out. This is a beautiful skirt pattern with wonderful details. I made mine from the MM Coloured Cotton in Terracotta. We've had so many folks ask about joining our workshops for the replays and class notes that we've been leaving the listings for the classes up on the website. Whether you are in a different time zone, have a tricky schedule or prefer to learn privately you're always welcome to sign up for any of the workshops in our online store. One Pattern Many Ways : Wilder Gown Earlier this week, I posted my first longer garment video on YouTube. This twelve minute video walks through my four versions of the Friday Pattern Company Wilder Gown and some of the fun details and hacks I've added to this easy pattern. I love to make the same pattern over and over again, I think you can learn a lot this way and it can open your eyes to creative details. Flower Branch Embroidery Quilt : Tools While you just need super basic quilting tools for the upcoming Flower Branch Embroidery Quilt project, there are some 'Bonus' tools that will likely make this project a little bit more fun. Personally, I've treated myself to a Stripology Ruler and a Patchwork Cutter for cutting all the chain piecing apart that we're about to do. I made a little video walking though all these tools so you can decide which ones you need or may already have in your tool kit!!
