Lots of incoming Kona colours and bundles next week!

We had a very special long weekend with our first extra long Handmade Getaway for Labour Day. I talk a bit about it in this IG reel and also share my one finished make from the weekend and it's a cute one.
A couple attendees wanted to learn how to use the longarm, so we had a mini lesson which most everyone took part in and then Sara and Susan both free motion quilted their quilts on Saturday and Sunday. The beauty of the Handmade Getaway is that it can be whatever you need it to be and my goal is to give you the space, time, tools, advice, inspiration, snacks and community you need to make it the best weekend possible.
As we officially head into Fall, we've got lots of deliveries heading our way for our recent community preorders. If you've been waiting, those cordless irons are coming in hot next week. Plus, batting, interfacing and 60+ bolts of Kona Solids. Take a peek at the Pre-order section for anything else we've got heading our way currently.
We've been talking a lot about Liberty of London in our workshops and one of their new collections in the Lasenby Cotton has caught my eye - Wisely Grove. This collection will not be available until May 2027, but orders for it need to go in this month. Many shops do long lead preorders, but we've always kept them very short.
My goal for bringing fabric & supplies into the shop is timeless collections (Kona Solids, Tilda Chambray, Merchant & Mills) and Liberty of London definitely checks those boxes for me. It's been a while since we had Liberty on the shelves and I'm so tempted.

Sixty+ Bolts of Kona, Batting & Interfacing! We're expecting a big restock of Kona Solids early next week. We've pre-received the delivery for anyone who had an alert for a specific Kona colour, so that you can order this weekend and have your order ready to cut once the bolts are unboxed.
We've got some fun things planned with our Kona Solids for the Fall, so we're making sure the shelves are well stocked. We'll be cutting and building quilt kits and our custom bundles (about 20+ of them) next week, including two of our Kona Colour Society bundles - Mariposa & Wisteria.
SASHIKO SUPPLIES We're heading into mending season! We've got a delivery of Sashiko threads and supplies heading our way. Lots of things can be preordered but we'll be building our thread bundles once everything arrives in the shop - set an email alert to be notified when those are assembled and available.
PREORDER : Irons & Petite Garden Our delivery of Panasonic Cordless Irons is finally en route. There was a delay with one of the models being out of stock, but we expect them to all be here next week. The Petite Garden lawns have also shipped out to us. Preorders for this lovely floral has opened back up for the yardage we still have available AND we also make fat quarter, half metre and full metre bundles. I can't wait to get my hands on the on these vintage inspired florals.
Sara quilted her Double Time Quilt on the longarm last weekend!
VIRTUAL WORKSHOPS and EVENTS We just started our Fall session of the Double Time Quilt last night. Sara quilted her Double Time quilt last weekend and did such a great job. This is her very first quilt and I'm so proud to see her through all the steps this gorgeous version of the Double Time. I'm excited to finish up my next version and see everyone's come together in class. It's never too late to join one of our virtual workshops and catch up through the replays. PLUS! Anyone from last year's cohort who needs some encouragement to finish up their project can jump back into the live Zoom sessions with us.

Cosy sweatshirts, hot water bottle covers and light jackets have started to appear from the wide format printer in Sprucedale as we all prepare for Cosy Season! Tilda Chambray Bundle We were able to get a hold of just a few more Tilda Chambray fat quarter bundles. This 28 piece bundle was the basis for our Flower Branch Embroidery Quilt Kit and if you've been wanting to make your own, definitely snap up one of these bundles while they last. This particular version has been discontinued, so they won't be available much longer from our supplier.
